The Bologna Mineral Show is one of the most important events of its kind in Italy and attracts collectors, dealers and enthusiasts from all over Europe every year. From March 14 to 16, 2025, the UNIPOL Arena in Casalecchio di Reno was once again transformed into an Eldorado for lovers of minerals, fossils and gemstones. We had the great pleasure of being part of this special trade fair as an exhibitor - an experience that not only enriched us professionally, but also provided us with many unforgettable moments.
You could feel the energy and anticipation in the air as soon as you arrived. The hall was filled with hustle and bustle, conversations and the glitter of countless minerals sparkling in the exhibitors' showcases. It is always impressive how an event of this size manages to captivate both trade visitors and interested visitors alike. The Bologna Mineral Show has long been more than just a sales fair - it is a place of encounter, exchange and shared enthusiasm for the beauty and diversity of nature.

Friends, conversations and new faces
Even during the set-up, it became clear that the Bologna Mineral Show is much more than just a trade fair - it is a meeting place for true enthusiasts. Even before the first visitors entered the hall, there was a warm atmosphere. Traders greeted each other like old friends and exchanged news.
It was a special pleasure for us to see many familiar faces again - colleagues and friends with whom we share a long-standing passion for minerals. It is always inspiring to exchange ideas with other dealers, marvel at rare finds and talk about the latest developments in the collecting scene. But it was just as exciting to meet new people: passionate collectors looking for their next exhibit, experienced geologists with fascinating stories about spectacular finds and up-and-coming dealers who impressed with fresh ideas and extraordinary pieces.
A love of minerals unites people, and you can feel that in every encounter at the Bologna Mineral Show. Every stand told its own story, every conversation opened up new perspectives - and that is exactly what makes this trade fair so special.

Our Highlights
As soon as you enter the hall, you are greeted by an almost overwhelming sight: endless rows of sparkling minerals, artfully cut gemstones and rare fossils that carry millions of years of history. Wherever you look, it sparkles, glows and shines in a wide variety of colors. From deep blue azurites and bright green malachites to fascinatingly clear quartz crystals - the variety of pieces on display was simply breathtaking.
The selection of special finds from all over the world was particularly impressive. Some of the minerals were so unusual that one wondered whether nature itself sometimes acts as an artist. In addition to spectacular individual pieces, the fair also offered themed exhibitions that combined scientific and aesthetic aspects. It was a pleasure to explore the various stands, to talk to the dealers about the origin and special features of the exhibits and to come across fascinating new discoveries time and again.
As there was so much to marvel at, we decided to share some of our personal highlights with you.
More than just an exhibition
What makes the Bologna Mineral Show so special is the unique atmosphere that sets it apart from other trade fairs. It's not just about buying - it's an event that thrives on genuine passion. You can sense at every turn that the people here are not just dealers or collectors, but true lovers of mineralogy. Conversations are not just about prices or rarity values, but about the stories behind the pieces.
An absolute highlight was the “La Sapienza” area, an interactive exhibition dedicated entirely to the science behind minerals. Here you could not only marvel at the exhibits, but also become active yourself - carrying out experiments, examining rock samples and experiencing geological processes up close. This was a real adventure for young visitors in particular, as they were able to playfully discover how fascinating the world beneath our feet is. But it wasn't just children who had fun - we also got carried away and found it exciting.
This combination of knowledge, fascination and genuine enthusiasm makes the Bologna Mineral Show a very special experience - and that is exactly what will draw us back next year.
