This exquisite piece from the Xianghualing mine in China combines the clarity of water-clear fluorite crystals with the artistic arrangement of snow-white, perfectly crystallized calcite crystals. These rise up like a filigree sculpture and rest on a glittering, almost black matrix, which complements the ensemble in a fascinating way. The piece is perfectly set off by a custom-made base from our company.
Origin and geology
The Xianghualing mine is known worldwide for its extraordinary mineral discoveries. It is particularly famous for its finds of exquisite fluorite, calcite and scheelite. The combination of water-clear fluorite and the radiant white calcite crystals, as seen here, is a geological phenomenon that impresses with both its aesthetic and scientific significance.
A harmonious combination of contrasts
The transparency of the slightly green fluorite allows the light to playfully glide through, and together with the white calcite crystals they develop a sculptural presence. The glittering, almost black matrix creates an impressive contrast and underlines the beauty of this unique combination.
A masterpiece for discerning collectors
This piece is a true highlight for any collection. The perfect balance between clear and opaque elements and the artistic presentation on the custom-made base make it an indispensable work of art for mineral lovers.
