The piece comes from the renowned La Grasta mine in Italy, known for its high-quality sulphur and celestite finds. It was a well-known sulphur mine from 1850 to 1987. From the end of the 19th century, it became known for celestite specimens in various shapes and colors, but the best ones only came onto the market towards the end of mining activities in the 1960s and 1970s.
